Manon Garritsen

Meet the newest artist for NOVEL SUPPLY CO.; Manon Garritsen.

She is an illustrator and surface pattern designer, based in Vancouver who loves to make simple, whimsical illustrations, print designs and patterns.

Two years ago, Manon and her family made the big move from Holland to Vancouver, just for the sake of adventure. During the search for work in a new, inspiring environment, she connected the dots. In the past 20 years, she has been following her curiosity and has worked as Urban Designer, Product Designer, studied Fashion Design and founded her own company and online store. It became clear to her that there has always been one constant: the love for texture, drawing and getting a message across by means of to the point and attractive illustrations.

When she learned about what we were doing over at NOVEL SUPPLY CO., she knew she had to be part of it. She emailed me and was eager to find out more and get involved. We met up over the best and only ramen in North Vancouver at The Workshop Vegetarian Café, and the rest is rock n' roll history.

You’ll find a bit of every dot in Manon’s work. Her designs are clean, graphic and have that loose effortless look. Most of her work is inspired by the West Coast lifestyle, landscapes, architecture and urban form.
